St. John's Suitcases

St. John’s Suitcases for Children

NEEDED: Used or New Suitcases

What is it like to be in foster care? For one thing, you lose a lot of your stuff because you don’t get much time to pack, and you often have nothing to pack IN. Some clothes in a garbage bag is no way for a child to live.

Catholic Charities in Sharon can accept used-but-working-and-clean OR new suitcases, bookbags, duffle bags. When a child is placed into or moved in Foster Care, the agency can provide the child with a piece of luggage for their belongings.

Check your basements, closets, attics, and garages for working luggage you no longer need. Clean it up, make sure all the parts work, and bring them to the church. We will gather them through the month of February.

Note: Catholic Charities also notes a need for children’s winter clothing (all sizes) and blankets We encourage you to pack your bag with clean used or new warm clothing and / or blankets.
