Feeding Ministries

Community Kitchen

St. John’s and our partners provide a free lunch for the community every Saturday from 11:00am-1:00pm. Normally, we welcome all to join us around the table for a time of food and fellowship. We have a limited number of hot take-out meals for people who need them or who deliver them to others.

Thanks to the volunteers from St. John’s Episcopal Church, Sharon & Friends, Covenant Presbyterian Church, the Mercer County Foodbank, and to Rob Ridgeway and family who make this ministry possible.

St. John’s prepares food the third Saturday of the month and gathers the Thursday before to begin cooking at 1:00 pm. If you are interested in helping, please contact our office and leave a message for Teresa Bartos. We would love to have you join us!

Preparing Lunch on All Hallow’s Eve

Food Pantry

Episcopal Community Services of Mercer County consists of various outreach ministries providing the fellowship of caring for individuals and families through the love of Christ. Due to the COVID pandemic our ministry is currently limited to a monthly food distribution. We work to explore and develop programs and to increase and upgrade our present services to address unmet community needs.

At this time, our food pantry is open the 3rd Thursday of each month from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. We can be reached at 724-981-8131. Please leave a message. Clients will DRIVE-THRU to pick up their food on the East side of the building, using the West State Street entrance to the parking lot. PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR.
